There are many benefits to you as a patient registering for Online Services.  Once you have registered you can book routine GP Appointments and order authorised Repeat Medications.  If you also register for the Electronic  Prescription Service you can have your prescriptions sent straight to a nominated pharmacy of your choice. 

You can access Online Services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at home or abroad using any digital device that can access the internet.

  • It will reduce your visits and telephone calls to the Practice
  • You can give proxy access to an authorised person to manage your routine GP appointments and authorised repeat prescription ordering
  • You will be able to check which medication you should be taking and when
  • You will be able to access information on how to take medication safely through links to trusted websites
  • This saves both you and the practice time and money.  Its easy to use and eliminates the need to visit the surgery or pay for a telephone calls


Nurse Practitioner

East Norwich Medical Partnership have 2 Nurse Practitioners. Sharleen Blundell and Helen Pidgeon who works with our GP team who provide us with a NP service 5 days a week  and provide a same day minor illness service.  The Nurse Practitioner appointments are mainly On The Day Appointments and cannot be pre-booked. One of our Nurse Practitioners is a qualified prescriber and is able to provide prescriptions for the patients that she is able to see. 

Our  Nurse Practitioners are qualified to see patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed medical problems and to make a detailed assessment of their health care needs, based on their combined medical and nursing knowledge.  This includes history taking, physical examination, diagnosis and prescribing of medicines.  They are also able to refer patients to other clinical specialists such as hospital consultants.

Our Nurse Practitioners can see common medical problems such as:

  • new wounds and infected wounds
  • scalds and burns
  • rashes
  • eczema
  • sick children over the age of 6 months
  • new acute back pain
  • minor and sports injuries
  • joint sprains and injuries
  • dizziness and giddiness
  • unusual headache
  • conjunctivitis, sticky eyes, sty's
  • diarrhoea and constipation
  • urinary tract symptoms
  • vaginal symptoms,
  • contraception and emergency contraception
  • tonsillitis
  • earache
  • coughs and colds
  • swollen glands
  • sinusitis
  • vomiting
  • skin problems
  • bites and stings
  • cuts, bruises and falls
  • common childhood injuries
  • hayfever

Our Nurse Practitioners do not deal with drug related problems, pregnancy related problems, serious mental health issues or prescriptions for antidepressants or sleeping tablets.
