ONLINE SERVICES

There are many benefits to you as a patient registering for Online Services.  Once you have registered you can book routine GP Appointments and order authorised Repeat Medications.  If you also register for the Electronic  Prescription Service you can have your prescriptions sent straight to a nominated pharmacy of your choice. 

You can access Online Services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at home or abroad using any digital device that can access the internet.

  • It will reduce your visits and telephone calls to the Practice
  • You can give proxy access to an authorised person to manage your routine GP appointments and authorised repeat prescription ordering
  • You will be able to check which medication you should be taking and when
  • You will be able to access information on how to take medication safely through links to trusted websites
  • This saves both you and the practice time and money.  Its easy to use and eliminates the need to visit the surgery or pay for a telephone calls

Practice Manager

Our Practice Manager Lisa Vandepeer BA Hons AMPAR Diploma Practice Management and has worked as a Practice Manager in many practices over her long career in the NHS in Kent and now in Norfolk.

Lisa has responsibility for the day to day management and running of the Partnership and is fully accountable to the GPs.

Staff Manager

We have a large number of staff employed East Norwich Medical Partnership in a variety of clinical and non clinical roles..  All of these staff are managed by our Staff Manager Tracy Hickford.  If you have any concerns about our staff please speak to Tracy.  Tracy is based at Sprowston Primary Care Centre.

Administration

Patient Services Administration Team

Workflow Team

We have a team of Patient Services Administrators who deal with the large volumes of post that arrives in the practice daily via the post and also electronically.  All of this must be processed, scanned and coded onto our clinical system and then passed to the GP's. 

The administrators also deal with patient recalls and reviews and also the administration relating to pathology and radiology results

Repeat Prescribing Team

Our Prescribing Team deal with all of our large number of requests for repeat medication. This team processes both manual and Online Requests for authorised repeat prescriptions and also processes prescriptions via EPS so that these can be sent to the nominated pharmacy of your choice. You can request that your nominated pharmacy be changed at any time. If you have a prescribing query select the Prescription Team option on our telephone menu.

Secretaries

We have 2 practice secretaries who deal with all of our clinical referrals.  If you have a referral related query please select the Secretary option on our telephone menu.

Reception

Patient Services Team

Your first point of contact with East Norwich Medical Partnership, either by telephone or in person, will be with our Patient Services Team.

Patient Services Administrators will assist you in making appointments and can offer help and assistance in helping you find the right person to help you with your problem. You may be made aware that you do not need to see a GP i.e. if you are newly pregnant as you can now self refer yourself direct to a midwife.

Our teams of Patient Services Administrators  are not just answering the telephone they are also:

  • dealing with patients at the desk
  • processing queries from the clinical team
  • liaising with other teams within the practice
  • dealing with complex and wide of range administrative tasks
  • dealing with patient queries
  • dealing with external organisations such hospitals and the ambulance service
  • contacting patients
  • recalling patients
  • processing results and correspondence

Please do understand that the Patient Services Team are doing their best and at times can be working under extreme pressure with a high volume of demand. At peak lines we can have up to 8 team members answering the telephones.  We have a call attendant system and you may find that you are placed in a queue.  Please remember that the receptionists will deal with your telephone call as soon as they can.

Please remember that our Patient Services Team are carrying out the instructions of the GP's.

If you experience any difficulties with the Patient Services Team please ask to speak to either Tracy Hickford Staff Manager or Jo Manners Quality & IT Manager.
