  • Healthcare assistant

    Responsibilities
    – Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care and support.
    – Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and Pulse.
    – Collect specimens for laboratory testing.
    – Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
    – Document patient information accurately and timely
    – Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
    – Assist with Minor surgery.
    – Assist with IUCD/LARCs fitting.
    – Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician.
    – Diabetes – Data collection & Blood Monitoring
    – Diabetic Foot Care
    – Dressings (basic – according to a nursing care plan)
    – Emergency trolleys monitoring and recording.
    – ECG Recording
    – Fridge temperature monitoring and recording
    – Health education and health promotion
    – Injections – B12 under PSD
    – Injections – Adult Influenza under PSD
    – Injections – Pneumococcal under PSD
    – Injections – Shingles under PSD
    – INRs/Monitoring – including use of INR Star to protocol.
    – Lifestyle data – smoking status, alcohol consumption and exercise
    – New Patient Health Checks including previous history, family history and medication.
    – NHS health checks
    – Urinalysis

  • Medical secretary

    We are looking for a medical secretary to join our team to have the following responsibilities:
    – To provide an efficient audio, copy typing and medical word processing service for GPs and other health professionals as required.
    – A good knowledge and understanding on medical terminology would be beneficial.
    – Typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, minutes, memorandums
    – To provide the Practice Manager & Operations Manager with clerical and administrative duties and project support.
    – To undertake specific assigned tasks, project support or development/change work assigned by the Practice Manager which may arise from time to time.
    – The post requires proficient use of Microsoft Office
    – To make appointments, bookings and admissions as required.
    – To establish and maintain filing and administrative systems so that written or computer information is easily accessible and secure.
    – To retrieve medical records and organise the completion of medical/insurance records and other non-GMS works.
