Community Nurses

The district nursing team consisting of staff nurses, enrolled and auxiliary nurses. Their duties include visiting patients, who are unable to attend the surgery, in their homes. They also give practical assistance and offer professional advice. Each patient’s needs are assessed and the care/treatment is planned accordingly. If the district nurses judge that treatment could be more appropriately given at the surgery and it is possible for you to attend, then the district nurses will advise the doctors or practice nurses.
